Accreditations and standards you can check yourself

Aspire Security Ltd holds COP 119 certification from British Assessment Bureau under certificate 242621, is a NASDU Associate member, is ICO registered, and is ISO 9001 certified. Its dog units are operated to BS 8517 and its officers hold SIA Door Supervisor licences. Where a public check exists, the link is on this page. NASDU membership, ICO registration, ISO 9001 certification, and BS 8517 operation are stated at the level the company holds them, and no further. What is not held is not listed.

Primary certification

COP 119: certified by British Assessment Bureau

COP 119 is the certification whose scope, in Aspire's case, is the labour supply itself, which is the thing a client is buying. The certificate is number 242621, issued by British Assessment Bureau Limited, trading as Amtivo, for "the provision of labour supply in the security and events sector in the UK". Initial certification was 16 August 2022. The latest issue is dated 16 July 2026 and it expires on 15 August 2028, subject to annual assessment.

Two places to check it. The certifier's public lookup at british-assessment.co.uk/verify-certification takes the certificate number. The certificate page shows the scope and dates as the certifier publishes them. British Assessment Bureau is rebranding as Amtivo in autumn 2026, so the badge artwork and the page header may change; the number on the certificate is the thing to search for.

One point on wording. Aspire is certified by British Assessment Bureau, not accredited by them: accreditation is what UKAS does to certifiers. COP 119 is also not a quality-management standard and is not presented here as one.

NASDU Associate member, and what the handlers hold

Associate member
Aspire Security Ltd is an Associate member of NASDU, the National Association of Security Dog Users. Membership is one thing and the handler qualification is another; the client records NASDU qualifications as one of the two questions prospects ask before a contract. Every Aspire handler is certified NASDU Level 2 General Purpose, working general-purpose dogs, and dog units are operated to BS 8517, the British Standard for security dog units. The wording is deliberate: Aspire is an Associate member, and this page claims membership and nothing above it.National Association of Security Dog Users →

SIA Door Supervisor licences and vetting

Door Supervisor
Officers and handlers hold SIA Door Supervisor licences. Any SIA licence can be checked by licence number on the SIA public register, which is the check to run on the person arriving at your gate rather than on the company sending them. A full 5-year work and background check is carried out.SIA public register →

ICO registered

Registration ZB591550
Aspire Security Ltd is ICO registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, registration number ZB591550. Registrations can be searched on the ICO register.ICO register →

BS 8517: the dog-unit standard

Operated to
BS 8517 is the British Standard for security dog units, and Aspire's dog units are operated to it. It sits with the handler qualification and the NASDU membership above rather than with the certificates, because it describes how the units work rather than a document a third party has issued to the company.A working standard, not a register

ISO 9001 certified

Certified
Aspire Security Ltd is ISO 9001 certified. The certifier, certificate number, and dates will be added to this section when the certificate is supplied; until then the page states the certification and nothing more. It is a separate matter from the COP 119 certificate above.Details to follow

What is not on this page, and why

One thing is missing on purpose. There are no client logos, because Aspire is a labour provider and its clients are not published; the about page explains the model. And every standard is stated at the level the company holds it: COP 119 with its number, dates, and lookup; SIA licences by number; NASDU membership, ICO registration, and ISO 9001 certification as the client states them, with the ISO 9001 detail to follow. It is the same rule that governs every service page, from K9 security dog units to security guards: a claim appears when it can be checked.
