Careers at Aspire Security Ltd

The bar, before you send a CV: SIA badge plus NASDU Level 2 or an equivalent qualification.

To work for Aspire Security Ltd you need an SIA badge and NASDU Level 2 or an equivalent qualification, for every applicant. That is the whole bar, stated first so that you can decide in one sentence whether to send a CV. If you meet it, send your CV to enquiry@aspiresecurityltd.co.uk.

What the bar means in practice

SIA badge

A current SIA licence. Aspire's officers and handlers hold SIA Door Supervisor licences, which cover both door supervision and security guarding, so a Door Supervisor licence is what the work needs. A licence that has lapsed is not a badge.

NASDU Level 2 or equivalent

Aspire's handlers are certified NASDU Level 2 General Purpose, the company is a NASDU Associate member, and dog units are operated to BS 8517. If your qualification is from another awarding body, say what it is and send the certificate with the CV, not only the job title.

Vetting

A full 5-year work and background check is carried out, so account for any gaps in the CV.

The work

Aspire supplies security dog units and SIA-licensed officers to live and vacant sites across South London and anywhere inside the M25, with reach to around Luton. The dog section is in-house, approximately 15 to 20 dog-and-handler teams, and Aspire does not supply its dogs and handlers to other security companies, so a handler here works for Aspire's clients.

The K9 security page describes the work and the case study describes one routine patrol that was not routine. Officer-led work covers static guarding, patrols, key holding and alarm response, events, retail, and residential blocks; the services hub lists all of it.

Much of it is out of hours, because that is when live and vacant sites need cover, and the bar is the same whichever side of the business you join.

What to send, and what happens next

A CV, with your SIA licence number and your NASDU or equivalent qualification visible on the first page, to enquiry@aspiresecurityltd.co.uk. A subject line naming the role you are applying for helps the CV land with the right person.

There is no application form on this site; the CV and the email are the application. If you do not meet the bar yet, the NASDU Level 2 qualification and the SIA licence are both things you can obtain before you apply, and a CV that arrives with both attached is the one that gets read.
